The "Glory to Ukraine: A Special Exhibit of Contemporary Ukrainian Art" exhibit has partnered with the Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership to rally aid and support for the Kharkiv Red Cross.
The Partnership between Cincinnati and Kharkiv began on September 11, 1989, when Mayor Charles Luken and Konstantin Khirnyi, leader of the Kharkiv delegation, signed official documents uniting Cincinnati and Kharkiv as sister cities.
The mission of the Cincinnati-Kharkiv Sister City Partnership is to establish goodwill, understanding and cooperation between the people of Cincinnati, OH and the people of Kharkiv, UKR and thereby to develop lasting friendships and increased exchange of ideas, goods, and services between these two cities.
From the early days of this conflict, the Sister City Partnership has been actively involved in aiding the Kharkiv Red Cross by supplying essential provisions such as food, medicine, and other forms of humanitarian assistance.
The remarkable response from individuals heeding the call for support has been truly inspiring! People have contributed generously through personal checks, PayPal, and Pledge-Drives, utilizing the Sister City Partnership as a means to deliver vital aid to the dedicated teams of the Kharkiv Red Cross, operating on the front lines.
There is much work to be accomplished, and we kindly urge you to visit:
